Each event lasts approximately two days and one night, with a design that aims to balance physical and psychological aspects, past and present, individual and group dynamics, as well as the interplay between sorrow and recovery. In the initial stages, the focus is on fostering group cohesion, clarifying the attribution of violent responsibility, and identifying emotions related to trauma.
In the middle stages, considering the grandmothers' reluctance to revisit heartbreaking experiences each time, the emphasis gradually shifts towards self-care in real-life situations, life reflection, and collaborative creative activities.
During an activity themed "Rediscovering the Blooming Years," the grandmothers revisited past joyful experiences to enhance their self-concept. The evening concluded with a sky lantern ceremony, which left a profound impression. The grandmothers believed that releasing worries with the wind could receive blessings from the heavens. These activities aim to expand and organize experiences, both positive and challenging, from their earlier years. By letting go and committing to self-care, reinforcing positive experiences contributes to improving the grandmothers' quality of life, adding joyful memories to their twilight years, and affirming their sense of self.
